Michael Hakkarinen's Instructional Technology Experience
Michael Hakkarinen is an experienced Educational Technology Specialist from Maryland and a new member to the UEN Team as of 2014. Michael enjoys sharing his experience with using Mac Tools, Google Apps for Educators, iPads and iOS devices, Interactive Whiteboards, and many other online tools for engaging students in the classroom. Before moving to Utah to join the Canyons School District as an EdTech, Michael was a “Technology Resource Teacher” and an Elementary School Classroom teacher in rural Frederick County, Maryland. Earning his Bachelors in English from the University of Maryland at College Park, Michael then went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education at Mount Saint Mary’s University where he was also an adjunct professor teaching courses on Instructional Technology at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels. Michael is currently serving as president-elect of the UCET Board.
